New owners Shape Properties are excited to announce that a major expansion and redevelopment is planned for Deerfoot Mall.
The redevelopment will encompass the majority of the 79 acre property with the exception of the Walmart parcel. Construction will take place in several phases over the next five years in order to keep existing tenants, that will remain part of the redevelopment, open, as well as to coincide with the lease-up of the new premises. Construction on the first phase is set to commence this fall.
The property’s central location along Deerfoot Trail midway between Calgary’s Downtown and Northern communities, along with its’ close proximity to the Airport and a large number of nearby businesses inherently offers the opportunity to redevelop the property into a dynamic new regional urban centre.
